Who will win the Super Bowl?

new england patriotsPatriots, no doubt

The Giants may have the Cinderella story line, but come on, how are they going to beat the Hoodie?

Bill Belichick's Patriots have defeated every single team they have played, and the Super Bowl shouldn't be any different.

Tom Brady led the NFL in the regular season in quarterback rating (117.2), touchdowns (a season record 50), and passing yards (4,806).

But to beat the Patriots, you have to do a lot more than rattle Brady (a lesson the Chargers learned Sunday).

To beat the Patriots, you have to hold the ball for 45 minutes, and you have to score touchdowns, not field goals.

To beat the Patriots, you have to run for 150-plus yards on a defense that only allows an average of 80, and you have to do it early, because if you don't, you are going to be behind.

To beat the Patriots, you have to be healthy. The Giants currently have three defensive backs and one offensive lineman nursing injuries.

To beat the Patriots, you have do all these things and get a couple of breaks, and even then, it's not a sure thing.

To beat the Patriots, you have to be, in a sense, perfect; which is exactly what New England has been all season long.

Giants in big upset

It's appropriate that the two teams that played in the NFL's best regular season game of the year will get a rematch in the Super Bowl.

In week 17, the Patriots narrowly beat the Giants 38-35 in the Meadowlands. Even though New York came up on the short end, it gave New England its toughest battle of the season.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning has proven all the doubters wrong and led his team to an amazing 10-0 record on the road this season, an NFL record. In a strange way, the fact that the Super Bowl is played at a neutral site in Arizona almost seems to be a plus for the Giants.

Manning seems have the swagger back that he had when he was leading Ole Miss to the 2004 Cotton Bowl in his senior season.

The Patriots may seem invincible to some, but the Giants have proven that the 18-0 squad is not entirely unbeatable.

If New England wins the Super Bowl, they have every right to be labeled as the best team in NFL history. But the Giants don't seem to care who the opponent is here lately and they will walk on the field with a ton off confidence.

Behind a strong defensive performance, the Giants will hand the Patriots their first loss of the season and shock the world.
