2004 (Buffalo): Made his NFL debut vs. NYJ (11/7/04) after being signed off the practice squad to the 53-man roster on 11/5, returning one punt…at NE (11/14), on only his second career punt return, and in his second career NFL game, Smith returned a punt 70 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter for the team's only points in the game…the TD return made him only the 16th player in Bills history with a punt return for a TD, and first since Nate Clements did it on 11/4/01…it was also, at the time, the 8th longest return in team annals…in only his third NFL game vs. St.L (11/21), Smith recorded his second punt return of 50-plus yards with a 53-yard return…he finished with 62 yards on two returns…recorded his first receptions of his NFL career with two catches for 10 yards at Sea. (11/28)…returned three punts for an 8.7 average with a long return of 26 yards vs. Cle.
