Career Overview

Baugher, 22, was originally signed by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2006 and was released by the Bengals on July 30. The 5-foot-10-inch, 194-pound punter attended the University of Arizona, where he was one of three finalists for the Ray Guy award as the nation’s top punter as a senior in 2005. That season he earned first-team All-America honors from Pro Football Weekly and third-team All-America recognition from the Associated Press. In his four seasons at Arizona (2002-05), Baugher recorded school records with 225 punts and 9,476 yards, averaging 42.1 yards per punt for his college career. His last name is pronounced "BAHG-er". Signed by the Patriots to the practice squad as a free agent on October 10, 2006.
