Chad did everything he could for his Suitland (Md.) High School team, playing quarterback, running back, defensive back and punter, but the team only won four games in his four years there.
Chad is one of three players from the University of Maryland to be drafted in the fist round in the last 20 years. He was drafted 24th overall in 1997, while Shawne Merriman was picked 12th overall in 2005 and Vernon Davis was selected 6th overall in 2006.
